Apostle Pastor Isiah King “Emeritus”
Apostle Isiah King Sr. MMin., Nadine Scott-King, Pastor
Apostle, pastor, and teacher Isiah King has being in the gospel ministry of Jesus Christ since 1979. He was raised in a Christian home by both parents who loved the Lord Jesus. He knew in high school at the age of 16, that God had call him into ministry. However, due to immaturity and lack of faith, Isiah did not accept his calling until three years later. With a hunger to equip himself for ministry, he enrolled in American Baptist College. He graduated with an Associate’s degree. He then enrolled in Moody Bible institute and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biblical Studies. While the momentum wheel of education was yet turning, Isiah pursued a Master’s of Ministry degree at Moody Theological Seminary and attained it with great joy. It is his desire, as well, to pursue a doctorate degree within the near future.
Isiah King has been married to Nadine Scott-King for twenty-seven years and has three children and eight grandchildren. God used them mightily to organize Salvation Free Christian Fellowship Church Inc. Due to his military disability, Apostle Isiah King serves in a non-pay status, while his wife serves in the capacity of Pastor/Teacher. Both realize the need to work together as a team, in order to bring about the best results for God. His vision is to build up the Kingdom of God and let people know that God loves them with an everlasting love. Having not experienced silence in over nine years, due to tinnitus (ringing in the ears), he lets people know, by living experience, that God’s grace is sufficient and his strength is made perfect in weakness. He feels confident in saying that the people of God can minister and live faithful to Christ, despite distraction and hindrances. One of his favorite scriptures is, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me” (Phil.4:13).
Nadine Scott-King has been in the ministry for over 10 years. She has always had a love for reading and in her late teens and early twenties developed an interest in biblical books and the word of God. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Indiana University. She is currently enrolled at Moody Theological Seminary and expects to receive her Master’s in Biblical Studies in 2014. She likes to do Administrative work for the church and will work in any capacity that is needed.
Her desire is to teach the body of Christ basic principles found in the Bible and to help them to mature in God’s Word. She believes that God’s people perish for a lack of knowledge. The people of God need to stand on the word of God, to receive the promises of God. Her prayer is that the body of Christ would dwell together in unity and worship God in spirit and in truth. One of the scriptures that she holds close to her is this, “O taste and see that the Lord is good: Blessed is the man that trusteth in him” (Psalms 34:8).
